Russia receives right to supply livestock products to Cuba - watchdog
MOSCOW. Oct 28 (Interfax) - Russia has received the right to export livestock products to Cuba.
This was received following work carried out by the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) to open up foreign markets and an audit of the Russian system for control and oversight of animal-origin food production carried out this year by Cuba's National Center for Animal and Plant Health, Rosselkhoznadzor said.
Cuba recognized Russia's current control and oversight system.
Russian enterprises producing poultry meat, pork, beef and dairy products listed in the Cerber component of the Federal State Information System for Veterinary Medicine's export register can now ship their products to the Cuban market unimpeded, Rosselkhoznadzor said.
