Kazgermunai to start processing gas from other fields to boost LPG supplies to Kazakh market
ASTANA. Oct 28 (Interfax) - The administration of Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region, the Kazakh Energy Ministry and JV Kazgermunai LLP have signed a memorandum to increase supplies of liquefied petroleum gas to the domestic market, JSC KazMunayGas said in a press release.
Kazgermunai will process gas produced by other fields, which will help increase supplies of LPG to the domestic market.
This investment project will also support social and economic development of the region and will help attract investment in the gas industry, ensure stable supplies of LPG to the Kyzylorda region, preserve jobs and increase tax payments to the local budget, the press release says.
JV Kazgermunai LLP, organized in 1993, holds exploration and production licenses for the Akshabulak, Nurali and Aksai fields in the Turgai oil basin in the Kyzylorda Region, central Kazakhstan. Kazgermunai is owned on a parity basis by PetroKazakhstan Kumkol Resources and KazMunayGas, which is under management of Kazakhstan's Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna.
