Rosgeo ready to get involved in geological projects in Serbia
MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The strategic program of economic development between Russia and Serbia for 2025-2030 has been approved by the Russian side, it is expected to be approved by the Serbian government in the near future, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said during talks with Serbian International Economic Cooperation Minister Nenad Popovic, information on the Russian Economic Development Ministry's website said.
"It's important that our countries have managed to intensify the work of the Russian-Serbian intergovernmental committee after a three-year pause. The 20th, anniversary, session of the intergovernmental committee attended by the two countries' authorities and businessmen will be held in St. Petersburg in a month. We hope that this event will give a new impetus to our cooperation," Reshetnikov was quoted as saying.
Russia and Serbia are ready to develop their partnership in new spheres such as agriculture, tourism and environmental protection, he said.
"The Russian Natural Resources Ministry, for example, is expressing an interest in the development of cooperation with Serbia on production and consumption waste treatment, and also in the sphere of geology and use of mineral resources. The Rosgeo company is ready to get involved in joint geological projects on the territory of Serbia devoted to seismic exploration work, drilling, geological filming, processing and interpretation of seismic data," Reshetnikov was quoted as saying in the release.
