Ukrainian company DTEK made 10 tunneling and cutting machines this year

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian company DTEK Energy manufactured and repaired 982 units of mining equipment in January-September 2024, including 10 new tunneling, cutting and loading machines, and supplied miners with 758,000 spare parts and components, Ukrainian media reported, quoting a company press release on Friday.

The company said that thanks to the equipment support the company's miners put 16 new coal faces into operation in nine months of this year and planned to commission another nine coal faces by the end of the year.

DTEK Energy's investments in Ukrainian coal mining are expected to be around UAH 7.7 billion in 2024.

The company's investments in Ukrainian coal mining were around UAH 7 billion in 2023, almost twice as much as in 2022.

DTEK Energy is an integrated coal and power generating company. Its coal division mines and processes coal, and produces and services mining equipment. Installed thermal power plant capacity was 13.3 GW as of January 2022.
