Central Bank of Russia expects inflation target to be achieved in H1 2026 - Nabiullina

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia expects inflation to hit the target of 4% in the first half of 2026, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said at a press conference on Friday.

"As for the target, we still give it at the end of the year, that current price growth will be close to 4%, but we will reach the target over the year by 2026, in the first half of 2026," Nabiullina said.

The CBR raised its inflation forecast for 2024 on Friday from 6.5-7% to 8%-8.5% and for 2025 from 4%-4.5% to 4.5%-5%.
