Ukrainian ports bring cargo turnover to 80.07 mln tonnes - deputy minister

MOSCOW. Oct 25 (Interfax) - Cargo turnover at Ukrainian ports has grown to 80.07 million tonnes since the year beginning, and over half of cargo, or 49.5 million tonnes, is grain, Ukrainian Deputy Restoration Minister Timur Tkachenko said.

"Ukrainian ports have transshipped 80.077 million tonnes of cargo since the year beginning, including 49.508 million tonnes of grain," Ukrainian media quoted Tkachenko's statement on a social network on Friday.

In his words, the ports are operating normally.

As reported earlier, Ukrainian ports increased cargo transshipment 1.8-fold to 74 million tonnes in January-September 2024.

The reports also said that the government would assign additional funds for restoration of the Odessa ports.
