Registration of Belarusian presidential candidates to begin on Dec 22 - CEC

MINSK. Oct 25 (Interfax) - The registration of Belarusian presidential candidates will begin on December 22, the Belarusian Central Elections Commission (CEC) said on Thursday.

"Candidates [for Belarusian president] will be registered from December 22 through December 31," a calendar plan of preparations and holding of the Belarusian presidential election, published on the CEC website, said.

As announced on Thursday, the Belarusian presidential election will take place on January 26, 2025, and incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko will run for reelection.
