Belarus ready for full-fledged membership in BRICS - Lukashenko
MINSK. Oct 24 (Interfax) - Belarus is ready for full-fledged membership in BRICS, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at the BRICS+/Outreach event as part of the group's summit in Kazan.
"Minsk confirms that it is fully prepared for full-fledged membership in the organization [BRICS]," the BelTA state-run news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying.
Belarus has a high level of interaction and trust-based relations with the absolute majority of countries attending this summit, he said.
"We already have a long history of successful cooperation with most of them. We can now complement our groundwork laid on the bilateral track with new achievements in the integration format," Lukashenko said.
