Kyrgyz state budget to near $12 bln by 2029
BISHKEK. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan's state budget will reach $11.7 billion in five years, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Japarov said.
"According to our calculations, we will reach a budget of one trillion som ($11.7 billion) by 2029. The GDP growth rates are very good. It reached 108.4% in the first nine months, and in the first nine months of last year we had 103.7%. We need to grow 10%-12% annually," Japarov said at a government meeting on Friday.
According to the Kyrgyz Finance Ministry, the country's budget reached $575 billion som ($6.7 billion) in 2023.
