New Delhi confirms Modi's plans to participate in BRICS summit in Kazan

NEW DELHI. Oct 18 (Interfax) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Russia next Tuesday to take part in a BRICS summit in Kazan, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said on Friday.

"The summit will offer a valuable opportunity to assess the progress of initiatives launched by BRICS and to identify potential areas for future collaboration," it said.

Modi is also expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings in Kazan.
