Samruk-Kazyna fund, China's CITIC Group agree on strategic collaboration
ASTANA. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna National Wealth Fund and China International Trust & Investment Corporation (CITIC Group) have signed an agreement on strategic collaboration, the state fund's press service said.
The parties signed the document in Shanghai at the ESG Global Leaders Conference.
The parties agreed to strengthen partnerships in the areas of metals and mining, transport and logistics, infrastructure, natural gas and oil, and others as part of the agreement.
Samruk-Kazyna and CITIC Group also plan to continue expanding cooperation between subsidiaries on existing projects.
Samruk-Kazyna National Wealth Fund manages the largest strategic companies in Kazakhstan, including Kazakhtelecom, Kazatomprom, KazMunayGaz, KazPost, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy railways, Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC), and others.
CITIC Group is China's large state investment corporation.
