MOSCOW. Oct 16 (Interfax) - Energoatom, Ukraine's state-owned nuclear power company, expects to post its net profit at UAH 201.5 billion in 2024, the company's acting First Vice President Alexander Ostapovets said.
"We expect the company's net profit to increase by 4.4-fold from 2020 to UAH 201.5 billion in 2024," Ukrainian media quoted Ostapovets as saying at the Energy in Industry exhibition in Kiev on Tuesday.
In addition, Energoatom will pay UAH 28.8 billion in taxes and UAH 97 billion in tariff compensation to the population this year (versus UAH 128 billion in 2023), he said, citing preliminary data.
Energoatom accounts for 52% of Ukraine's total electricity output, Ostapovets said.
