Russian electricity exports exceeded 5.5 bln kWh in 9M - Inter RAO
SOCHI. Oct 15 (Interfax) - Russian electricity exports exceeded 5.5 billion kWh in 9M 2024, member of PJSC Inter RAO's management board Alexandra Panina told journalists on the sidelines of the All-Russian Tariff Conference.
"These aren't bad results in principle. Fifty-one percent of supplies go to Kazakhstan, Mongolia is in second place at around 17%. Unfortunately, we don't have significant supplies to China. We are maintaining an amount of around 113 kWh to China on an even schedule [and] in an isolated zone," she said.
The results for 2024 are difficult to forecast for now, she said, noting that the fourth, winter quarter lies ahead for the company, for which there are hopes of increasing supplies.
"Right now we're supplying Georgia. We have a small volume which was agreed with the System Operator. Regular supplies are going to Georgia in October. We're supplying up to 300 MW. But this is now, while there is an opportunity in the autumn period," she said.
