Azerbaijan reduced oil production 4.8%, exports 5.8% in 9M - ministry
BAKU. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan reduced production of oil with condensate 4.8% year-on-year in January-September 2024 to 21.6 million tonnes, according to preliminary data from the Energy Ministry.
The Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli or ACG block produced 12.5 million tonnes, down 7.4% year-on-year and 57.9% of the country's total output.
The Shah Deniz field produced 3.1 million tonnes of condensate, down 6.1% year-on-year, and the Absheron field produced 400,000 tonnes.
The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 5.6 million tonnes at its own fields in 9M, 25.9% of total oil production and 3.4% less than a year earlier.
Azerbaijan's oil and condensate exports fell 5.8% year-on-year in January-September to 17.9 million tonnes, including 2.3 million tonnes by SOCAR and 15.6 million tonnes of oil from the ACG block and condensate from Shah Deniz, down 6.6%.
Baku Oil Refinery processed 5 million tonnes of oil, up 2%.
