Gasoline price growth in Russia slows to 1% in Sept from 1.22% in Aug
MOSCOW. Oct 14 (Interfax) - Consumer prices for gasoline in Russia rose 1.01% in September after climbing 1.22% in the previous month, the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported on Friday.
Gasoline prices rose 7.78% in the first nine months of 2024. The consumer price index rose 0.48% in September and 5.78% in the nine months.
Gasoline prices at the pump jumped 25% in July after rising 0.7% in June, falling 7.9% in May, climbing 2.5% in April, 16.1% in March, 12.2% in February and 0.2% in January, falling 20.1% in December 2023, 15.6% in November and 20% in October, and rising 9.1% in September.
The steepest price increase in September was 3.9% for AI-98 gasoline.
Prices for natural gas fuel increased by 3.6% in September compared to the previous month and diesel fuel prices rose 0.2%.
Consumer prices for gasoline in Russia rose 7.23% in 2023, which was slightly less than the overall inflation rate of 7.42%.
