Former DTEK Grids CEO Saleyev appointed Metinvest strategy, business development director

MOSCOW. Oct 11 (Interfax) - Ildar Saleyev, who served as Ukraine's DTEK Grids CEO from May 2022 to September 2024, has been appointed strategy and business development director of the Metinvest mining and metallurgical group, where he worked earlier, Ukrainian media said, citing the group press service.

"As the Metinvest group director for strategy and business development, Saleyev will be in charge of the elaboration and implementation of the company business strategy, the drafting of a portfolio of new projects and a system of relations with key stakeholders in the regions of target presence of the group's assets," the Metinvest press service said.

According to the press service, Saleyev was in charge of Metinvest operational procurement in 2015-2018 and headed the Donetsk Metallurgical Plant (Donetsk Iron and Steel Works), currently Pokrovskoye Coal Group, in 2018-2020.

"Salayev is an experienced manager with high professional competences. He has worked in many Ukrainian industries, including coal, energy, metallurgy and machine building," the press service said.

Metinvest consists of mining and metallurgical enterprises located in Ukraine, Europe and the United States. Its main shareholders are the SCM Group (71.24%) and Smart Holding (23.76%), which jointly manage it.

DTEK Grids is part of the DTEK Group, created to manage the energy assets of Rinat Akhmetov's SCM Group.
