Russian, Iranian presidents to discuss Middle East
MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will discuss the situation in the Middle East at a meeting in Ashgabat, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.
"First of all, bilateral relations between Russia and Iran. We are maintaining quite close relations in a variety of areas. Of course, the situation in the Middle East cannot be overlooked. It will also be on the agenda," Peskov told reporters.
"There will be a serious conversation. This is the first meeting," he said.
