Polish farmers announce possible blockade of Medyka-Shegini checkpoint on border with Ukraine

MOSCOW. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Polish farmers have announced a possible protest with blocking the truck traffic in front of the Medyka-Shegini checkpoint on the border with Ukraine from October 8 to December 31, 2024, Ukrainian media reported, citing the Ukrainian State Customs Service, which in turn refers to Polish reports.

"If the strike starts and further changes occur in the situation, we will inform you additionally," the service said in a statement on its website on Tuesday.

At the same time, vehicles are currently being cleared as usual, it said.

New demands of Polish farmers have not been reported yet.
