Mozambique interested in resuming direct flights with Russia - ambassador
STAVROPOL. Oct 7 (Interfax) - Mozambique is interested in resuming direct flights with Russia to the republic from Moscow and Mineralnye Vody, Stavropol Territory, Mozambique's Ambassador to the Russian Federation Jose Mateus Muaria Katupha said.
"I would really like this. If this ever happens, if Aeroflot would fly to us directly from Moscow, or even from here [Mineralnye Vody], then it would be a return to those distant times for me, when direct flights arrived to us from Moscow," the ambassador told reporters during the North Caucasus: New Geostrategic Opportunities international forum in Zheleznovodsk.
The ambassador also said that the absence of flights between Russia and Mozambique has been blocking relations between the two countries.
"We would like to overcome the barriers between Russia and Mozambique," Katupha said.
