Russian deputy FM, Israeli ambassador discuss situation in Gaza, on Lebanese border

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov received Israeli Ambassador to Russia Simone Halperin on Thursday to discuss the situation in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

"During the conversation, the parties discussed the situation in the Middle East, with an emphasis placed on the developments in the Gaza Strip and the Lebanese-Israeli border area," it said.

Bogdanov and Halperin also considered "some relevant items on the bilateral agenda," it said.
