USAID finances printing of English language textbooks in Ukraine - Education and Science Ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided $8.3 million to finance the printing of over 3.2 million school textbooks for the first and second grades in Ukraine.

"These are textbooks on the English, German, and French languages, as well as [those titled] I Explore the World and Art," Ukrainian media reported citing the Education and Science Ministry's statement.

A first batch of these textbooks was sent to schools during USAID Administrator Samantha Power's visit to Kiev, it said.
