Beijing, Moscow to support each other in security, sovereignty - Chinese FM
BEIJING. Oct 3 (Interfax) - China and Russia will abide by their leaders' consensus on mutual support for efforts to ensure each other's security and sovereignty, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.
"Both sides will act in full compliance with the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states and will firmly support each other in their main interests such as sovereignty, security and development," Wang said in an article for the Renmin Ribao newspaper on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of establishing Chinese-Russian diplomatic relations.
Diplomatic communication at the top level is important, he said.
Beijing and Moscow "will continue to maintain close exchanges at the high level, strengthen their political communication and coordinate their development strategies, also taking further steps to create and update mechanisms of cooperation at all levels and in all areas [...], promote the rich aspects of Chinese-Russian cooperation and stand shoulder to shoulder to facilitate each other's development and revival," Wang said.
