Putin notes unprecedentedly high level of Russian-Chinese relations

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the 75th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations in a message published on the Kremlin website on Wednesday.

"Three-quarters of a century ago, our country was the first to recognize the People's Republic of China and establish the closest cooperation with it. It is safe to say that the close, mutually beneficial relations between Moscow and Beijing have commendably stood the test of time," Putin said.

"Today, Russian-Chinese relations have an unprecedentedly high level. Our countries are actively cooperating in the political, trade, economic, scientific, technical and many other fields. They are effectively coordinating efforts in regional and global affairs for the sake of building a fair multipolar world order," he said.

"The implementation of bilateral agreements reached as a result of our latest meetings will contribute to further strengthening of a comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction between Russia and China and the provision of stability and security on the Eurasian continent and worldwide," Putin said.
