Share of settlements in national currencies within EAEU reaches 90% - Eurasian Economic Commission board chair
MINSK. Oct 1 (Interfax) - The share of settlements in national currencies within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) reached 90% in 2023, Bakytzhan Sagintayev, board chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission, told journalists on Tuesday.
"The EAEU is continuing work to develop cooperative ties between manufacturing clusters," Belarus's BelTA state news agency quoted Sagintayev as saying following a Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Yerevan on October 1.
"This is among the key factors of the consistent utilization of integration potential," he said.
"The volume of mutual trade in cooperative goods topped $30 billion in 2023, while the share of settlements in national currencies kept growing to reach 90% by the end of last year," he said.
