New CFO joins Kazatomprom management board
ASTANA. Oct 1 (Interfax) - Marat Tulebayev, Kazatomprom's chief financial officer, has joined the Kazakh nuclear corporation's management board, the company said in a Tuesday press release.
Sultan Temirbayev, who had served as Kazatomprom's chief financial officer until August 17, 2024, was formally excluded from the management board following his resignation effective the same date.
Kazatomprom's management board currently consists of Meirzhan Yussupov - chief executive officer, Marat Tulebayev - chief financial officer, Kuanysh Omarbekov - chief operating officer, Dastan Kosherbayev - chief strategy and international development officer, Vladislav Baiguzhin - chief commercial officer, Yermek Kuantyrov - chief legal and corporate governance officer, Darkhan Sagindykov - chief procurement and general affairs officer, Zhanat Umerbekov - managing director for HR and HSE.
Tulebayev worked as the head of the economics and budgeting department from 2017 to 2019 and played a key role in preparing Kazatomprom for its IPO. Most recently he served as the chairman of the management board at the Kazakhstan Investment Development Fund.
Kazatomprom is the national operator for export of uranium and its compounds, rare metals, nuclear fuel for nuclear power plants, special equipment, technologies and dual-use materials. Kazatomprom is controlled by Kazakhstan's Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna.
