Russia favors expanding list of agro products for indicative trade balances in EAEU - PM Mishustin
YEREVAN. Oct 1 (Interfax) - The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) should gradually expand the list of agricultural products for which indicative balances of mutual trade are formed, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
Mishustin said that the EAEU has a high level of self-sufficiency in basic food products.
"It would be necessary to account for the specialization and production capabilities of all participants in the Eurasian Economic Union in further operations. We have good experience. I mean coordinating namely indicative balances of mutual trade regarding key types of food. Russia favors consistently expanding the list of goods for which balances are compiled, and, of course, enshrining the instrument in union law," Mishustin said.
"Consequently, our enterprises should gain confidence that stable demand on the regional market will support their supplies, and production will not be 'cut off' from key resources supplied by the closest partners," Mishustin said.
