Power transmission tariff in Russia might rise 11.6% in 2025

MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - The tariffs of power grid operators for power transmission in Russia for all categories of consumers might be indexed by 11.6% from July next year, according to the socio-economic development forecast for 2025-2027 that the government submitted to the State Duma along with the budget package.

The tariff will be indeed relative to the indicator for September 1, 2024.

The previous macro forecast from April of this year said the network tariff for industry would increase 6%.

The tariff for transmission via the unified energy grid [the FGC UES tariff] might be indexed by 11.5% from July 2025 against 6% in April. This does not reflect the surcharge "for the gradual increase in the capacity of consumers connected to the Unified National Power Grid networks for the period to 2025 inclusive of 2.5% annually" to its actual [capacity]. In other words, the FGC tariff might increase even more, by 14%.

Electricity tariffs for households might increase by 12.6% against the previously proposed 6%.
