Russian Central Bank not ruling out hiking key rate further in Oct - Nabiullina

SOCHI. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Russia is not ruling out hiking the key rate further in October, Central Bank Governor Elvira Nabiullina said.

"We hiked the rate to 19% per annum in September and are not ruling out a further increase in October," Nabiullina said at the 21st International Banking Forum organized by the Association of Banks of Russia.

The Central Bank's board of directors hiked the key rate by 100 basis points to 19% pa at the regulator's meeting on September 13.

The CBR's next meeting to discuss and review the key rate is scheduled for October 25.
