Novak: List of minerals for possible export restrictions to be ready in near future

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - The Russian government has begun to compile a list of minerals and their products for which exports may be restricted, with the document to be ready in the near future, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told journalists on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week.

"We are currently working on this order. There is a specific analysis of the situation on world markets. The relevant proposals will be ready in the near future," Novak said.

"I'd say that this is a fairly long list of products that are in demand on world markets today. Of course, a thorough analysis of the advisability of this is needed, because above all we need to think about the opportunities for developing our industries so that they do not suffer, too," he said.
