Russia's Lukoil opens second filling station in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Russia's Lukoil has opened its second full-service filling station in Kazakhstan, along the A3 highway connecting Almaty and Ust-Kamenogorsk, the company said.

Like the first Lukoil filling station opened in April, the new one will operate on a franchising model. It features the company's signature ECTO fuel, including premium ECTO 100 gasoline. The station provides separate fueling lanes for trucks and passenger cars, with 22 fueling pumps available.

"The company will continue to develop its network of filling stations in Kazakhstan," it said.

Lukoil has been operating in Kazakhstan since 1995, with projects in oil production and transportation, lubricant production and green energy. The company is involved in the Tengiz oil project with a 5% stake, the Karachaganak project with 13.5% and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium.

Lukoil had 5,258 owned, leased, franchised and temporarily closed filling stations across 19 countries at the end of 2023.
