Russia to continue developing infrastructure to transport LNG, deliver gas carriers to projects - Putin

MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Russia will continue developing infrastructure to transport liquefied natural gas, specifically boosting capacity at Arctic ports and delivering the necessary gas carriers to projects, President Vladimir Putin said during a plenary session as part of Russian Energy Week.

"LNG from Russia's Arctic has become one of the anchor cargoes of the Northern Sea Route (NSR). We will definitely continue to develop our own services and technologies in the LNG sector, as well as create centers for transshipment, storage, and trade of LNG. We will deliver gas carriers to projects and of course boost capacity at our Arctic and eastern seaports, as well as strengthen communications and infrastructure of the NSR," Putin said.

Putin said that there are many problems for LNG projects that delay implementing them, though they will be implemented despite this.
