MOSCOW. Sept 25 (Interfax) - Russia has exported 74 million tonnes of agricultural products since the beginning of this year, 7% more than in the same period of 2023, Agriculture Minister Oksana Luth said at a State Duma committee meeting on Wednesday.
"Russia has already shipped 74 million tonnes of food to international markets this year, which is 7% more by volume than a year earlier," Luth said.
She said exports are growing as new markets are being tapped in Africa, Asia and the Persian Gulf.
Russia exported over 100 million tonnes of agricultural products worth 43.5 billion in 2023, up from $41.6 billion a year earlier.
The Russian president has set a target to increase agricultural exports by 50% from the 2021 level by 2030, when exports are expected to total $55.2 billion.
