Azerbaijan's AZAL suspends flights from Baku to Tel Aviv
BAKU. Sept 24 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan's AZAL air carrier has suspended flights from Baku to Israel's Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv for security reasons owing to the escalation of the situation in the Middle East, the carrier's press service told Interfax.
Passengers with tickets to Tel Aviv can apply for a full refund or exchange them for a ticket on another flight free of charge.
Resumption of flights on the Baku-Tel Aviv-Baku route will depend on the further development of the situation, the company representative said.
AZAL operates flights to more than 20 countries. The fleet includes over 30 Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft. The airline carried 2.2 million passengers on domestic and international flights in 2023.
