Russian Railways preparing deal to sell Rizhsky railway station building in Moscow
MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - The board of directors of Russian Railways at a meeting on September 27 will consider the matter of preliminary approval of the deal to sell the Rizhsky railway station building, the company said.
As reported, the Rizhsky railway station building was closed from March 1, 2023, to September 1, 2024, for reconstruction to rebuild the railway tracks for the launch of the MCD-4 line, transfer the traffic control systems to digital, and to construct two new 270-meter-long platforms.
Russian Railways said that seven pairs of commuter trains have been arriving and departing from the Moscow-Rizhsky station on weekdays and eight pairs during weekends since September 1. These are mainly long-distance electric trains to the Novoierusalimskaya, Volokolamsk, Shakhovskaya, and Rumyantsevo stations.
