Pyotr Ivanov appointed president of Russia's FESCO transport group, will head Rosatom logistics business

MOSCOW. Sept 23 (Interfax) - Pyotr Ivanov has been appointed president of the FESCO transport group, whose parent company is PJSC Far Eastern Shipping Company (FESCO), effective from September 23, the company said.

The FESCO board of directors made the decision. Arkady Korostelev, who had held this position since 2020, is leaving FESCO.

Ivanov was released from the post of deputy head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) at the end of August. He joined the FAS in January 2021, before which he worked for Russian Railways group members for five years: as CEO of Federal Passenger Company, the Russian Railways passenger subsidiary, and CEO of JSC High Speed Railways.

The Rosatom state corporation said Ivanov would also head its logistics business as general director of Rosatom Logistics LLC.

"The market's fluidity in the current situation requires calibration and coordination with partners and shareholders. FESCO's status as one of the transport industry leaders demands much of us - not only to preserve our foothold, but also to develop new businesses, and to use the latest technologies and practices to achieve the country's logistics sovereignty goals," FESCO quoted Ivanov as saying.

"This will necessitate the constant enhancement of the professional skills of specialists and business processes, and higher labor productivity. Along with business goals, we will continue to pay due attention to the development of those regions where the group operates," he said.

FESCO, which is under the Rosatom state corporation's control, owns assets in the port, railway and integrated logistics business. FESCO owns PJSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok, the Fesco Integrated Transport intermodal operator, the Dalreftrans refrigerated container operator, as well as the Transgarant and Fesco Trans companies. The group manages terminal complexes in Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Tomsk, and Vladivostok.
