Soyuz MS-25 with Russian-U.S. crew aboard returns to Earth from ISS
MOSCOW. Sept 23 (Interfax) - The Soyuz MS-25 landing capsule carrying Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Nikolai Chub and NASA astronaut Tracy Dyson has touched down in Kazakhstan, a Roscosmos livestream shows.
The landing took place in an area 147 kilometers southeast of the Kazakh city of Zhezkazgan at 2:59 p.m.
After the crewmembers are removed from the landing capsule, medics will run an initial checkup on them on site, measure their blood oxygen levels and blood pressure and provide them with first aid.
The Soyuz MS-25 spaceship undocked from the Prichal module of the International Space Station's (ISS) Russian segment and started moving away at 11:36 a.m. on Monday.
Kononenko and Chub arrived at the ISS by Soyuz MS-24 on September 15, 2023, while Dyson came to the station by Soyuz MS-25 on March 25, 2024.
It was Kononenko's fifth mission on board the ISS, Chub's first, and Dyson's third. By the time the Soyuz MS-25 landed, the Russian cosmonauts had spent 374 days in space, which is the longest single spaceflight under the ISS program. During this space mission, Kononenko also set a new world record for the most time spent in space, which is 1,111 days.
