BRUSSELS. Sept 20 (Interfax) - European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has said that she arrived in Kiev on Friday.
"My eighth visit to Kiev comes as the heating season starts soon," von der Leyen wrote on social media.
The agenda of her talks with the Ukrainian authorities will include Europe's support for Ukraine, including in defense, measures to help Ukraine prepare for winter, its prospects of joining the EU and loans from the G7 countries, she said.
Von der Leyen announced this visit on Thursday, when she also said that the upcoming talks would address ways to help Ukraine maintain the resilience of its power generation infrastructure, including by transferring some revenues from immobilized Russian assets to Kiev.
