Russian Deputy PM Overchuk discusses joint projects in industry, energy, transport in Armenia

MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk has discussed the implementation of joint projects in industry, energy and transport during a visit to Armenia, the Russian government press service said.

"The sides discussed the implementation of joint projects in the spheres of industry, energy, transport and logistics, [and] finance and investment," a statement published on the government's website said.

The participants in a meeting between the co-chairs of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between the two countries devoted special attention to the humanitarian sphere of cooperation, the press service said.

"There was a substantive exchange of opinions on the prospects for deepening Russian-Armenian humanitarian ties by implementing joint projects in secondary and higher education," it said.
