Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline pumps 3.8% less oil in 8M

BAKU. Sept 13 (Interfax) - The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline carried 19.39 million tonnes of oil in January-August, down 3.8% year-on-year, Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee told Interfax.

Oil transported via the BTC pipeline accounted for 75.1% of oil transported through Azerbaijan's trunk oil pipelines.

The pipeline transported 15.806 million tonnes of Azerbaijani oil, 81.5% of the total and 6.1% less than in January-August 2023.

It transported 3.584 million tonnes of transit oil from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, 18.5% of the total and 8.5% more year-on-year.
