Oil exports from Russia, Central Asia down 2% in July to 6.4 mln bpd - OPEC
MOSCOW. Sept 10 (Interfax) - Russia and Central Asian countries overall exported an average of 6.4 million barrels of oil per day in July, down 100,000 bpd or nearly 2% month-on-month, OPEC said in its monthly report.
OPEC said the drop was primarily due to a decrease in shipments through Baltic Sea and Black Sea ports and was partially offset by higher volumes of oil pumped through pipelines.
Exports rose 4% or 256,000 bpd year-on-year in July. Exports through the Transneft system in July fell just over 4% or 159,000 bpd to 3.7 million bpd MoM and rose 5% or 160,000 bpd YoY.
Shipments from the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk fell 220,000 bpd or 31% MoM to 484,000 bpd. Exports from the Baltic Sea region also fell significantly, by 145,000 bpd or 10% to 1.4 million bpd. Shipments from Primorsk decreased by 75,000 bpd or 9% to 755,000 bpd. Exports from Ust-Luga fell 70,000 bpd or 10% to 607,000 bpd.
Shipments via the Druzhba pipeline in July rose 65% or 113,000 bpd MoM to 288,000 bpd but fell 4% or 11,000 bpd YoY.
Exports to China via the ESPO pipeline rose by 4% or 25,000 bpd MoM to 611,000 bpd and were 1%, or 9,000 bpd less than in July 2023. Shipments via the Pacific port of Kozmino increased by 68,000 bpd or 8% to 931,000 bpd and were up 8% or 67,000 YoY.
Exports from the Sakhalin ports of De-Kastri and Aniva fell 5,000 bpd or 2% MoM to 234,000 bpd and were down 9% or 23,000 bpd YoY.
Exports via Lukoil's Varandey terminal in the Barents Sea fell 24% or 23,000 bpd MoM to 76,000 bpd and were 16% or 14,000 board of directors lower than in June 2023.
Oil exports from Central Asia averaged at 237,000 bpd in July, up 8% from the previous month but down 2% from the same month last year, OPEC said.
Total exports from the Black Sea region via the CPC terminal increased by 31,000 bpd or 2% to almost 1.5 million bpd MoM and 6% or 80,000 bpd YoY.
Exports via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline increased 7% or 44,000 bpd MoM in July to 688,000 bpd and were up 12% or 76,000 bpd YoY.
Total exports of petroleum products from Russia and Central Asia increased 8% or 288,000 bpd MoM to almost 2.5 million bpd and were up 1%, or 23,000 bpd YoY. The growth was primarily due to an increase in the volume of fuel oil, gas oil and gasoline supplies.
