Lavrov arrives in Saudi Arabia on visit

RIYADH. Sept 9 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived in Saudi Arabia for a Russia-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) ministerial conference.

Lavrov's plane landed at the Riyadh Airport at 6:59 p.m. on Sunday, an Interfax correspondent reported.

Lavrov will attend a ministerial meeting of the Russia-GCC Strategic Dialogue and will have a number of bilateral meetings.

The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf is a regional organization comprising Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia.
