Kazakh parliament ratifies agreement with Kyrgyzstan on construction of $62 mln border logistics hub
ASTANA. Sept 5 (Interfax) - The Senate, the upper chamber of Kazakhstan's parliament, has adopted the law on ratification of the agreement between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan on construction of a logistics hub at the border checkpoint of Karasu in Kazakhstan and Ak-Tilek in Kyrgyzstan.
The total area of the new facility will be 7.6 square kilometers, including 3.6 square kilometers on the Kazakh side and 4 square kilometers on the Kyrgyz side.
Investment in the project is estimated at around 30 billion tenge or $62 million.
