Russia's Alfa Bank to open office in India
VLADIVOSTOK. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Alfa Bank plans to open an office in India, the Russian lender's deputy CEO, Pavel Vysotsky said.
"We see that it is necessary to open a large network of Russian banks and representative offices in India and expand the existing presence there. We, Alfa Bank, are no exception in this regard, and we have such plans, to open a representative office in India," Vysotsky said at the Eastern Economic Forum.
The bank's board of directors decided last fall to open two branches in China, in Beijing and Shanghai.
Alfa Bank was Russia's fourth largest bank by assets at the end of the first half of 2024 in the Interfax-100 ranking.
