Dep PM Patrushev chairs Russian govt's agriculture and fisheries commission
MOSCOW. Sept 5 (Interfax) - Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev has been confirmed as chairman of the Russian government Commission for Agriculture, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of Rural Areas, an order signed on September 3 and posted on the official website for legal information showed.
Patrushev replaced Viktoria Abramchenko, who served as deputy prime minister in the previous government.
Agriculture Minister Oksana Luth has been confirmed deputy chairman of the commission, and Audit Chamber auditor Sergei Mamedov, Deputy Health Minister Natalya Khorova and Federation Council First Deputy Chairman Andrei Yatskin have been appointed to serve on the commission.
The commission was established by a government resolution dated December 22, 2023 that also abolished two government commissions: for agricultural and sustainable development of rural areas and for fisheries development.
