Ukraine's NABU first deputy head dismissed from post
MOSCOW. Sept 3 (Interfax) - First Deputy Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Gizo Uglava has been dismissed from his post by the director's order, Ukrainian media said on Tuesday citing a statement released on the NABU Telegram channel.
"The first deputy director was dismissed by the NABU director's order," the statement said.
The NABU director made such a decision because an investigation found that Uglava had committed serious violations, it said.
"The internal investigation and, subsequently, the NABU Disciplinary Board have established that the first deputy director has committed a number of actions and [made] statements of a negative nature aimed at personally and professionally discrediting the bureau's employee who filed an official memo about information leaks," it said.
As reported, on August 9, NABU Director Semyon Krivonos said that the internal inquiry into leaks of information from the NABU was completed, certain violations of ethics and the law on civil service were recorded, and files were forwarded to the disciplinary board for the future consideration.
