Russia's money supply rose 0.8% in July - Central Bank
MOSCOW. Aug 30 (Interfax) - Russia's national-definition M2 money supply rose 0.8% in July to 104.351 trillion rubles, according to information posted on the Central Bank website.
Money supply grew 6.1% or by 5.966 trillion rubles in January-July.
Year-on-year growth was 18.2% as of August 1, compared with 18.9% on July 1.
Cash supply (M0) grew 76.3 billion rubles or 0.5% in July to 16.782 trillion rubles but fell 351.9 billion rubles or 2.1% in 7M 2024.
Cash supply fell 1.3% year-on-year, the first drop since 2015, as of July and was again down, this time by 2.7%, as of August 1.
Cash remained at an all-time low of 16.1% of money supply on August 1, as on July 1.
