Gazprom commissions fourth train of Amur Gas Processing Plant

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Gazprom has commissioned the fourth train of the Amur Gas Processing Plant, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said on a conference call dedicated to Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day.

"We have already launched the fourth process train at the Amur Gas Processing Plant. We continue to build gas processing facilities in North-West Russia, in Ust-Luga. The work is firmly on schedule," he said.

Miller said Gazprom was developing the gas processing segment "to provide the Russian economy with products that are sought after in a huge number of sectors - sectors for which our products are the basis of their further production cycles."

Amur GPP, which is located in Svobodny, Amur Region, will become one of the largest natural gas processing plants in the world upon completion, with design capacity for 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. It will include six trains with capacity for 7 bcm of raw gas per year. The launch of the plant is being synchronized with the expansion of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline.
