Turkmenistan, Mauritius determined to expand their dialogue in different areas

ASHGABAT. Aug 28 (Interfax) - Turkmen Deputy Foreign Minister Mahri Bashimova and Mauritius' Ambassador in Tashkent Kheswar Jankee have discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said on its website on Wednesday.

Bashimova and Jankee reaffirmed their countries' mutual commitment to advancing their dialogue in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian issues, it said.

The sides also discussed steps to draw up core bilateral partnership documents and the possibility of exchanging experience in agriculture, water management and tourism, the ministry said. They also agreed to continue to support each other's initiatives within international organizations.

In addition, a proposal was put forth to hold regular political consultations between the two countries' Foreign Ministries regarding specific priority areas of bilateral cooperation and steps to advance relations between Turkmenistan and Mauritius, it said.

Jankee also presented copies of credentials to Bashimova during the meeting.
