National Bank of Kyrgyzstan holds policy rate at 9%
BISHKEK. Aug 27 (Interfax) - The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan's management board has decided to hold the key policy rate at 9% per annum, the regulator said in a statement.
The regulator said annual inflation was 3.6% in July and should be within the forecast range of 5%-7% for the year. The economy grew 8.7% in January-July. The banking sector is stable and the exchange rate flexible.
The National Bank could make additional monetary policy adjustments if risks arise.
The next scheduled policy rate meeting is on October 28.
