Charges brought against Durov in France require serious evidence - Kremlin
MOSCOW. Aug 27 (Interfax) - The charges brought against Telegram founder Pavel Durov require serious evidence, or else it would be an obvious attempt to intimidate the company management and a politically motivated detention, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Indeed, very serious accusations have been brought. They require no less serious evidence. Otherwise, there is a direct attempt to restrict freedom of communication and, one might even say, direct intimidation of the head of a large company. That is, it's politics, which Mr. Macron denied in this case yesterday," Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
